This week we sold 7,106 head of cattle of all classes in two sales. Wednesday June 11th, we sold 427 head of butcher and feeding cows, bulls, & heiferettes. Another week of a strong weigh-up market on the books. Get those cows and bulls to town if you’re needing to! Thursday June 12th, we hosted our 18th Annual Special Customer Appreciation BBQ sale, Celebrating 74 years in business. A truly amazing sale was had with 6,679 head of some of the best stock you will see coming through the ring. Record breaking numbers were seen throughout the day, we want to give a huge thank you to our buyers and consignors alike for working with us and giving us that opportunity. We will walk through some quotes from the day: 85 head of Angus steers weighing 1057 rung the bell at $298.50, 117 head of Angus & Bwf steers weighing 547 hit $430, 58 head of Angus Cross Steers tipping the scale at 941 hit the mark of $308, & 46 head of Angus Steers weighing 777 sold at $337. On the heifer side of things: 49 head of Angus heifers weighing 640 sold out at $355, 120 head of Angus & Bwf heifers weighing 495 hit $420, 62 head of Angus & Bwf heifers weighing 566 rung the bell at $396. This week we sold 1,095 head of cattle of all classes in one sale on Wednesday June 4th, 2025. We sold 678 head of Butcher & Feeding Cows, Bulls & Heiferettes in the morning show. Another week with a strong number of weigh ups through the ring. All classes were steady to a few dollars higher, there were some extreme high grading & yielding cows & bulls compared to a week ago. The afternoon show consisted of a few feeders, lots of baby calves, breeding bulls and mostly Short Term pairs, bred cows calving now with some Fall calving cows. Baby calves brought anywhere from $400.00 to $1250.00 with the exception of a few heifers weighing 346 at $1450.00. Solid to Short Solid pairs hit a high of $4035.00 from a set of 7 stout Angus cows with 350 lb calves at side. This week we sold 2,789 head of cattle of all classes in two sales. Wednesday May 28th, we sold 592 head of butcher and feeding cows, bulls, and heiferettes in the morning show. The afternoon show consisted of 751 head of pairs and bred cows. An outstanding showing of young producing pairs with most of the consignments being 1st Calf heifers and 3-year-old pairs. The 1st calf heifers ranged from $3,950 to $4,350 while the 3-year-olds sold from $3,975 to $4,250. Aged pairs hit a high of $3,925 from a set of 12 stout Angus cows with 300-pound calves at side. Thursday May 29th, we sold 1,446 head of stocker and feeders through the ring. An offering built up of majority bigger cattle saw the steers steady to $8 higher and heifers sharply higher on all classes tested compared to 2 weeks ago. This week we sold 1,951 head of cattle of all classes in one sale. Wednesday May 21st, we sold 557 head of Butcher and Feeding Cows, Bulls, and Heiferettes in the morning show. Another week with a strong number of weigh ups through the ring. All classes will be steady compared to a week ago. The afternoon show consisted of a light run of Feeders, lots of Baby Calves, Bred Cows, and a good run of Pairs. Baby Calves brought anywhere from $425 to $1,450. A good volume of Cow/Calf Pairs through the ring showcased a top of $4,450 on a 10 head of 1st Calf Heifer Pairs with a nice uniform set of calves at side. Three to Six year old pairs saw a high of $3,975. A nice stout set of Solid Mouth Cows topped their class with the gavel falling at $3,825. Short Solid and Short Term Pairs hit a high of $3,250 on the day. This week we sold 3,641 head of cattle of all classes in 2 sales. Wednesday, May 14th we sold 611 head of butcher and feeding cows, bulls, and heiferettes. A strong market for all classes of weigh-ups on the day. Baby calves brought anywhere from $500 to $1,200. Thursday May 15th, we sold 3,030 head of stocker and feeders. We will call the market sharply higher on the steers and steady to $5 higher in places on the heifers. We saw an active crowd on the seats and one of the most active sales we have had from our internet bidding platforms. The market was hot all day long, seeing some outstanding quotes throughout the offering. This week we sold 1,196 head of all classes on Wednesday. The morning saw 612 head of weighup cows, bulls, & heiferettes in a market that we would call steady to $4 higher in places. All classes of weighups remain in high demand, especially these young heiferettes and feeding cows we see coming to town. The afternoon portion of the sale saw our first test of the pair market this spring. Most of our pair volume was First Calf Heifers and Short Term Cows with a lighter test of young and middle aged cows. Most of the First Calf Pair trade was in the $3,700 to $4,200 range with a top of $4,375. Short Term Pairs topped at $3,575 on a set of cows in good condition with 200+ lb calves at their side. Most of the trade on these older pairs was $2,800 to $3,300. Solid Mouth Pairs up to $3,750. We also marketed 195 head of bred cows in the afternoon, most of which would begin calving at the first of May as well as some smaller packages calving now. The bred cow market remained strong this week topping at $3,600 on a small package of reputation stout young cows that would be done calving within the next couple of weeks. 3 & 4 year olds to start May 1st for 60 days traded from $2,700 to $3,450 with a majority being over $3,000. Those smaller packages of cows calving now sold well all day. This week we sold 3,660 head of cattle of all classes in two sales. Wednesday April 9th, we sold 638 head of butcher & feeding cows, bulls, & heiferettes. A really strong butcher market with young cows and heiferette types in really high demand. The afternoon show featured Phase 1 of the Maddux “Maternalizer” Mature Bred Cow Dispersion. We had a good crowd in the seats as we always do for this sale. The gavel fell at $3,600 for 20 head of 1st Calf Heifers and the top quote from the stockcows came from 20 head of 3 & 4-year olds at $3,650. Thursday April 10th, we marketed 1,993 head of stocker feeders. A sale on the smaller side numbers wise but still a good crowd and activity. We will call the steers $5 to $15 dollars lower compared to two weeks ago and heifers steady to $10 lower. This week we sold 903 head of cattle of all classes in one sale. Wednesday April 2nd, we sold 564 head of butcher & feeding cows, bulls, & heiferettes in the morning show. The butcher market was unevenly steady compared to a week ago with feeding type heiferettes being sharply higher and bulls $2.00 to $10.00 higher on the day. We sold 20 head of baby calves with ranging in price from $425 to $900. The afternoon show consisted of bred stockcows and a nice selection of nurse cows. Bred nurse cows ranged from $2,900 to $3,200 with the top quote coming from a Holstein pair at $3,900. We had a small run of bred stockcows but good quality. The top quote on the day coming from 44 head of Angus 3 year olds due May 1st at $3,850. This week we sold sold 6,757 head of cattle of all classes in two sales. Wednesday March 26th, we sold 584 head of butcher & feeding cows, bulls, & heiferettes in the morning portion. Butcher & feeding cows were steady to $6.00 higher, heiferette types were steady, & bulls steady to $4 higher all compared to a week ago. The afternoon sale consisted of a Special Stockcow & 1st Calf heifer sale featuring the “Wine Glass Ranch Total Age Dispersion” selling around 1,600 head of stockcows. Sale top on the day was 46 head of 4-year-old Bwf Stockcows at $3,550. Thursday March 27th, we sold 4,578 head of stocker & feeders. A very strong sale, sharply higher on all classes for both steers & heifers. The seats were full & demand was strong with a lot of activity live and on the internet. This week we sold 661 head of cattle of all classes in one sale. Wednesday March 19th, we sold 374 head of butcher and feeding cows, bulls, & heiferettes. A weigh-up market very similar to the week prior. Pretty steady on all classes compared to a week ago with a strong demand for those heiferette types. We also sold around 300 head of bred females in the afternoon show. Most groups consisting of summer calving dates and even a few fall dates in the mix. Sale top was 11 head of 3 to 6-year-old Angus & Bwf Stockcows at $3,100. market report for march 12th & 13th

This week we sold 6,427 head of cattle of all classes in two sales. Wednesday March 12th, we sold 305 head of butcher & feeding cows, bulls, & heiferettes. Another steady week on the butcher market compared to week ago on all classes excluding the heiferette types. We will call feeding heiferettes and heiferette types sharply higher compared to a week ago with strong demand. On Thursday March 13th, we marketed 6,122 head of stocker and feeders through the ring. A sale that showcased a lot of heavier cattle, the quality was very high throughout the offering. Coming off an outstanding sale last week, we will call the heavier cattle $4 to $5 higher. Lighter cattle 750 lbs and under would be $7 to $12 back from a week ago. We have seen some record breaking these last two weeks, this week would be softer throughout and a little tougher on the seats compared to week ago. This week we sold 7,114 head of cattle of all classes in two sales. Wednesday February 26th, we sold 366 head of butcher and feeding cows, bulls, & heiferettes. Another week where this butcher market continues to stay strong across the board. Expectations are for the market to remain steady in the coming weeks. Thursday February 27th, we marketed 6,748 head of stocker feeders through the ring. It was another exceptional sale; we saw an abundance of quality through the ring all day long. This showed in the quotes, we will call steers $1 to $8 higher across the board and heifers were sharply higher on the day. february 5th & 6th, 2025

Wednesday February 5th, we marketed 115 head of butcher & feeding Cows, Bulls, & Heiferettes. The last few weeks we have definitely seen a lighter test on the butcher market, however, it keeps ticking up week by week. The butcher market demand is there and should continue to be in the coming weeks. If you have weigh-ups at home go ahead and get them to town. Our next weigh-up sale will be Wednesday February 12th. Thursday February 6th, we sold 4,466 head of stocker feeders through the ring. The board was down all week and that showed in the live trade. Most weight classes on both steers & heifers were sharply lower compared to a week ago. The market would be more comparable to the what it was 2 to 3 weeks ago. january 29th & 30th, 2025

This week we sold 8,216 head of cattle of all classes in three sales. Monday January 27th, we marketed 1,444 head of 1st Calf heifers and Stockcows. Another large crowd was in the barn to witness a strong showing of bred females. We saw a top on the Heifers at $3,650 on some reputation sets. High’s on the 3 & 4 year old stockcows hit $3,750 while the 5 & 6 year old stockows saw a top of $3,250. It was a good day for stout older cows with lots of condition, with a lot of those sets landing in the $2,400 to $3,000 range. Wednesday January 29th, we saw 494 head of butcher & feeding cows, bulls, & heiferettes. We will call the butcher and feeding cows $5 to $7 higher across the board, just a light test on the heiferettes, & bulls were $5 higher. Thursday January 30th, we had our 3rd and final week of the Stock Show Sale Series. We had an outstanding finale to the series with a lot of high-quality cattle through the ring. We will call the steers sharply higher on all weight classes outside of the 750 to 800 lb range. The heifers were $2 to $10 higher on all weight classes outside of the 550 to 600 weight range. This week we sold 6,640 head of cattle of all classes in two sales. Wednesday, January 22nd we had a very light run of butcher and feeding cows, bulls, & heiferettes. Once again, this market was ticking upwards in a positive direction. Thursday January 23rd, we marketed 6,490 head of stocker and feeders in Week 2 of our Stock Show Sale Series. We had about 1,000 head roll to the next week on this sale because of the cold weather in the area on Monday and Tuesday. However, the market was anything but cold. We saw light steers under 500 lbs anywhere from $4 to $6 higher, the soft spot on the steers would be the 550 to 650 weights at $2 to $9 lower, we will call steers 700 to 800 lbs $3 to $11 higher. We had an outstanding day on the heifer side of things with all classes being $3 to $10 higher on the day. This week we sold 10,540 head of cattle of all classes in three sales. Monday January 13th, we sold 1,393 head of Bred Heifers and Stockcows. It was another excellent sale of bred stock the market is strong & very comparable to the sales we had in December. Wednesday January 15th, we sold 655 head of butcher & feeding cows, bulls, & heiferettes, the kill market is picking up speed, jumping $5 to $10 on all classes compared to a week ago. Thursday January 16th, we market 8,492 head of exceptional stocker feeders through the ring for Week 1 of our Stock Show Special. It was another great sale, we will call light steers 400 to 550 lbs $3.00 to $17.00 higher, light heifers 350 to 550 lbs were $12 to $17 higher compared to a week ago. This week we sold 7,630 head of cattle of all classes in two sales. Wednesday January 8th, we had 716 head of butcher & feeding cows, bulls, & heiferettes through the ring. As we haven’t had a sale in 2 weeks there is no comparison. However, the market picked up right where it left off. Butcher and feeding cows still bringing a good ticket, with heiferettes being a soft on the day. Thursday January 9th, we marketed 6,914 head of stocker and feeders through the ring. An excellent line-up of calves was seen throughout the day. This sale featured our special Red Angus & Hereford Influence section, which led to some outstanding quotes, especially on the red replacement quality heifers.
